Be a Detective and Explore the Evolutionary Journey of Living Dinosaurs

Step into a world where ancient giants roamed and uncover the incredible story of how some dinosaurs evolved, survived extinction, and became the birds we see today. This exhibition reveals the fascinating connection between dinosaurs and their avian descendants through captivating displays, artwork, and interactive exhibits.

Dinosaurs: Surviving Extinction

Did you know birds are direct descendants of dinosaurs? Groundbreaking discoveries show many share traits. Evidence from bone structure, feathers, eggs, and behaviours reveals the deep roots with their ancient ancestors. This exhibition brings these revelations to life, offering a unique glimpse into the evolutionary journey from dinosaurs to modern birds.

The exhibition features three groups of dinosaurs, each showcasing distinct traits that link them to their modern relatives. Visitors will explore detailed life-sized fossil displays, gaining insights into the behaviours and characteristics that highlight the evolutionary links, and come to their own conclusions about which group gave rise to the birds we see today. Interactive exhibits allow visitors to engage with the material, making discoveries of their own about the deep connections between dinosaurs and their living descendants, with the correct answer revealed at the end.

Join us for this unique journey through time and discover how the legacy of dinosaurs lives on in the birds around us. “Dinosaurs: Surviving Extinction” is an exhibition that promises to enlighten and inspire, offering a captivating experience for visitors of all ages.
